There's a lot of terrain in between here and Rhodes so a straight line won't cut it. Don't pay too much attention to this point as it can trick you as you're riding but it's better to have some idea of the direction you're going. Start at the Valentine train station and post office and open your map to drop a waypoint to Rhodes. Have some extra food on you in case you need to refuel on the way as well - though you shouldn't have to if your horse is good enough. Located within a small cove in Flat Iron Lake, you can find the shipwreck on the small island, just Northeast of the "N" in Flat Iron Lake. While it may seem like the more viable option to surpass that frustrating Wanted stage, you'll be disappointed to hear that after a few minutes on the water / approximately halfway across the lake, your boat will randomly sink.
